'Paranoia' Hangs Heavy Over Cannes; IM Global Making Offshore Deals, Relativity Media Taking U.S. On Harrison Ford, Gary Oldman, Liam Hemsworth Thriller

EXCLUSIVE: The Robert Luketic-directed thriller Paranoia has emerged as an early hot sales title. Relativity Media is negotiating for U.S. distribution rights, and IM Global's Stuart Ford closing deals in the UK, France, Spain, Germany, Canada and Latin America.

That clears the way for a summer production starts on the adaptation of the Joseph Finder novel, with Harrison Ford, Gary Oldman and The Hunger Games' Liam Hemsworth starring, and Lucas Till and Richard Drefyfuss also expected to be part of the cast.

Luketic, who helmed 21 and Legally Blonde, will direct the Jason Dean Hall and Barry Levy-scripted thriller about a boss who blackmails one of his young employees to spy on a rival company. So far, IM Global has set deals with Momentum in the UK, Gaumont for France, Studio Canal for Germany, Aurum for Spain, Alliance for Canada and Sun for Latin America. Other territories are expected to close during the Cannes Film Festival.

The film will be produced by Alexandra Milchan, Scott Lambert and Depak Nayar, with IM Global's Ford and Gaumont's Christophe Riandee executive producing. The film starts production this summer for a 2013 release.
